We have a PGI!

Since March 29th 2019, the charentaise has joinded the selective club of PGIs like the Limoges china.
PGI = Protected Geographical Identification

For the 210 job-providing industry, it's a now protected made-in-France craftsman manufacture which guarantees origin and authenticity to consumers.
And even if for French people, the charentaise has always been a flagship patrimonial object, it seemed important to protect it for its local technical features :
* sewn-back manufacturing;
* woven felt sole,
* made in Charente Périgord.

The old charentaise is therefore immune from fraud and counterfeit and its French high range image will be reinforced worldwide.
